John E. Kelsey was educated at Texas Wesleyan University, where he received his J.D. He is certified to serve ad litem in the probate process
and in guardianship
. He has taught a probate law course at Texas Woman's University, and he has worked in the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas.
He is a member of the Denton County Bar Association, in the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section, where he also served as the Chairman of the Real Estate Subsection from 1997 to 1998. He is on State Bar of Texas, a member of the following sections: Probate and Trust Law, Solo and Small Firms, Construction Law, and Litigation.
